Boulogne-sur-Mer is ideally located in the north of France, 2 hours from London, Paris, Brussels by train or car. Connections in France and Western Europe are excellent, infrastructures are modern. This makes pre and post-congress tours, and also day tripping easy and fast.

There is a railway station in Beauvais from which you can travel to Boulogne-sur-Mer by train. You can look at the routes on the SNCF website.

Getting to Boulogne-sur-Mer

Boulogne-Ville railway station can easily be reached by daily trains from Brussels railway station or Lille Europe.

Regular trains go from Paris directly to Lille Europe.

While you're in Boulogne-sur-Mer

All facilities are at walking distance, including hotels ranging from a 2 to 15 minute walk from the congress center, restaurants, NAUSICAA and the train station.

  • Line F goes from the city centre to the NAUSICAA stop. The route is shown on the practical information map. 
  • Line F services run from 6am to 8:30pm approx. and go every 20-30 minutes. The timetables can be viewed on MARINEO’s website.
  • The “Station Liane” stop is the central bus station.
  • To get around the city while the congress is taking place, you can take a look at the routes on Marinéo’s website. A pass offering unlimited travel for 7 days can be bought for EUR 9.

A free shuttle in the city centre which runs every 20 minutes makes it easy to get to the various places of interest such as the Place Dalton, the old town, the ramparts, and so on.

It runs between 9am and 6:15pm (last stop: 6:14pm at Place Dalton) from Monday to Saturday (it does not operate on Sundays and public holidays).

This organisation offers various bicycles, electric scooters and even hoverboards for hire. You can expect to pay €40 to hire a standard bicycle for 5 days.
